Assistant Manager - French-Inspired Restaurant

About the role

An intimate, French-inspired restaurant in Sydney is looking for an Assistant Manager who enjoys being on the floor, connecting with guests and making the dining room feel special. The team is already in place, so the role is about bringing energy, ideas and an eye for service to a venue that values warm hospitality, good food and great wine. Key responsibilities

• Lead warm, attentive service and keep a clear view of the dining room.
• Build relationships with regulars and make new guests feel welcome.
• Support and coach the team through service, setting the standard through your own approach.
• Manage service flow, anticipate pressure points and keep communication clear.
• Work alongside the Head Sommelier to develop your wine knowledge and share it with guests.
• Handle guest feedback confidently and thoughtfully.
• Identify practical improvements to daily operations and service.

Required profile

• A solid foundation in restaurant service and experience taking the lead on the floor.
• Passion for guest experience, with warmth, personality and attention to detail.
• Initiative to spot what needs doing and confidence to get things moving.
• Appreciation for French-inspired food, wine and hospitality.
• Current NSW RSA.
• Availability to work Sundays is essential, with flexibility around the rest of the roster.
