Assistant Restaurant Manager - Delta Rue

About the role

Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, a luxury hotel in Sydney's CBD, is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager for its Delta Rue restaurant. The role supports the Restaurant Manager in leading the team and shaping the restaurant's next phase, delivering memorable dining in a luxury hotel setting.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations and lead service confidently, ensuring a seamless guest experience
• Coach, motivate and support the team through on-the-job training, feedback and ongoing development
• Champion warm, personalised service, take ownership of guest feedback and resolve issues professionally
• Lead pre-service briefings, set clear expectations and work closely with the kitchen and wider Food & Beverage team
• Maintain high standards of service, presentation, cleanliness and efficiency across every service period
• Assist with rostering, training and onboarding, and ensure compliance with RSA, food safety, WHS and hotel procedures
• Contribute ideas and initiative to strengthen the venue's culture, reputation and performance

Required profile

• Experience in a restaurant leadership role, or readiness to step up from a strong supervisory position
• Hands-on leader who leads by example and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach
• Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) competency
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Full working rights in Australia are required
