Food & Beverage Attendant - Dinner Service

About the role

Park Hyatt Sydney's The Dining Room is the signature restaurant of the hotel, described as a harbour-side residence with views of Sydney Harbour, Circular Quay and the Sydney Opera House. It is looking for a waiter to serve food and beverage and deliver a friendly, attentive service that meets Hyatt International Standards. The position is on a rotating roster, with major shifts covering dinner service.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food and beverage while keeping guests satisfied through a friendly, professional, polite and courteous approach
• Be experienced and knowledgeable in fine dining, and engage guests during their visit
• Explain menu content, menu changes and promotional activities
• Keep tables and dining areas clean, tidy and well prepared for service, and set them for new diners

Required profile

• Experience in a food and beverage environment of a similar standard
• Team player who is proactive in their duties and strives for career progression
• Genuine passion and keen interest in the hospitality industry
• Good communication skills and a strong work ethic
• Well-presented and professional
• Current NSW RSA certificate

Required skills

• Good knowledge of wines and other beverages
• Understanding of fine dining service
