Assistant Relationship Manager – Business Banking

About the role

The Assistant Relationship Manager will support the District Manager and Relationship Managers in delivering value to business customers across Agri, Commercial and Small Business channels. This permanent, full‑time role is based in the Brisbane/Gold Coast region and offers the chance to develop a career in business banking within Suncorp Bank.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the District Manager or Relationship Manager in managing relationships with customers in the assigned portfolio tier.
• Respond to client queries promptly and in line with service standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and customer files according to Suncorp policies.
• Extract and analyse financial statements, cash‑flow forecasts and other complex financial reports.
• Identify acceptable lending risk and maximise profit while adhering to the Risk Appetite Statement.
• Escalate risks and issues proactively and support the complaint resolution process.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and promote a collaborative ‘one team’ approach.
