Assistant Manager - Tax Consulting

About the role

PKF Melbourne, a full-service accounting firm within the global PKF network spanning 150 countries, is looking for an Assistant Manager to join its Tax Consulting team. Working closely with the Tax Director and Tax Partner, you will deliver tax consulting and compliance services to a diverse client base ranging from SMEs to multinational groups, while supporting the development of junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively with clients to meet their tax compliance and transactional needs
• Review the technical work of others, with an excellent compliance background
• Develop junior staff members within the team
• Draft complex letters of advice, reports and other client documents, and carry out analysis to support conclusions
• Assist in a range of engagements, from enterprise compliance to multinational advisory, to broaden your skill set
• Work in a team environment and communicate confidently, explaining tax concepts and drafting tax advice
• Build internal relationships with business stakeholders and external relationships with advisers and clients
• Assist with tax audits, reviews and investigations by revenue authorities

Required profile

• 5-6 years of taxation consulting experience
• CA qualified or Tax Institute accredited
• Business, Commerce, Law or Masters of Tax qualification
• Australian work rights preferred
