Assistant Manager – Emerging Corporate Banking

About the role

As an Assistant Manager in ANZ's Emerging Corporate team, you will partner with a Senior Relationship Manager to support a portfolio of mid‑market trading businesses across Queensland. The role blends credit risk assessment, deal structuring and customer service to help clients grow while protecting the bank’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Relationship Manager in preparing credit papers, financial monitoring reports and loan documentation.
• Conduct financial analysis and structure deals in collaboration with product partners such as Trade Finance, FX, Asset Finance and Payments.
• Develop a deep understanding of each client’s business and financial needs to propose appropriate solutions.
• Maintain a well‑managed portfolio that complies with all relevant policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Prior experience in commercial banking frontline roles, commercial lending, accountancy, insolvency, corporate advisory or funds management.
• Ability to assess creditworthiness using both qualitative and quantitative analysis, especially financial statement analysis.
• Familiarity with standard and complex lending structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
