Assistant Manager - Audit & Assurance (Mid Market & Private)

About the role

KPMG Australia is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its Mid Market & Private audit team. You will work with emerging and established private businesses, family enterprises and not‑for‑profits, delivering high‑quality audit and assurance services while leveraging new technologies such as AI and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit engagements for high‑profile clients, overseeing all aspects of delivery, client service and business development.
• Execute advisory‑related engagements and provide insightful, data‑driven recommendations.
• Build strong relationships with prestigious audit clients and ensure quality assurance and reporting.
• Mentor and develop junior talent within the team.

Required profile

• Proven track record of high performance in audit or assurance.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and ability to apply it in complex engagements.
• Exceptional problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and a collaborative mindset.
