Architect - Non-Process Facility

About the role

This part‑time, hybrid position supports the design and delivery of non‑process infrastructure for a greenfield mining project in Brisbane. The architect will lead the planning, development, and coordination of architectural work across all project phases, ensuring compliance with regulations and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Support mining non‑process infrastructure (NPI) architectural scope from study through closeout.
• Prepare discipline estimates, work plans, and review design documents.
• Interpret relevant regulations and assist with performance reporting.
• Review and approve contractor submissions, including shop drawings, material submittals, and as‑built records.
• Provide technical guidance on constructability, durability, and maintainability.
• Evaluate unconventional materials and techniques and address complex coordination requirements.
• Coordinate architectural interfaces with structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plant design & piping, and fire protection disciplines.

Required profile

• Experience planning, developing, and designing architectural work for large‑scale projects.
• Ability to prepare estimates, work plans, and interpret regulatory requirements.
• Proven capability to review and approve contractor documentation.
• Strong technical guidance skills for constructability and durability.
• Experience coordinating across multiple engineering disciplines.
