Android Developer – High‑Performance Mobile Apps

About the role

We are looking for an Android Developer to join a fast‑moving team that builds high‑performance mobile applications for a global user base. Based in Australia, you will work closely with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and QA specialists to deliver engaging Android experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using clean, efficient, and well‑documented code.
• Own the full mobile lifecycle: planning, implementation, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality features and improve user experience.
• Write and execute unit and UI tests; debug and resolve issues to ensure stability and performance.
• Monitor app health with Crashlytics, ANR reports, and performance metrics, and proactively address technical problems.
• Implement analytics tracking, feature rollouts, configuration management, and A/B testing.
• Maintain legacy codebases while introducing new technologies and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across time‑zone overlaps (GMT+2 to GMT+7).

Required skills

• Kotlin and Java for Android development.
• Publishing and maintaining apps on Google Play Store.
• Object‑oriented programming principles and Android architecture.
• Integration of third‑party libraries, APIs, and mobile services.
• Experience with Crashlytics, ANR reporting, and performance analysis tools.
• Implementation of product analytics and event tracking (e.g., Firebase Analytics).
• Unit testing and UI testing frameworks.
