Analyst - Tactical Opportunities

About the role

Tactical Opportunities (Tac Opps) is Blackstone's opportunistic investment platform, investing globally across asset classes, industries and geographies. The Tac Opps team in Sydney works with the investment team on sourcing, due diligence and executing investment opportunities. The role suits a strong performer with experience in financial analysis and research.

Key responsibilities

• Build complex financial and valuation models
• Assist in preparing investment memorandums for the investment committee
• Perform due diligence and financial analysis across a wide range of asset classes, business types and investment types (equity, preferred equity, minority and control)
• Research companies, industries and asset classes
• Interview industry experts and management teams
• Assist in executing transactions
• Monitor and drive further value on existing portfolio companies

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of investment banking, private equity or management consulting experience
• Ability to work well in a team, with high motivation, sound judgment and attention to detail
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently
• Excellent report writing skills
