Allied Health Practitioner – Private Practice (Psychology, Social Work, OT)

About the role

headspace Knox and Lilydale are seeking allied health practitioners (clinical psychologists, general psychologists, accredited mental health social workers and occupational therapists) to provide Medicare‑funded, bulk‑billed services to young people aged 12‑25. The role is contracted, on‑site, with a dedicated room provided.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑standard, person‑centred counselling and focused psychological strategies to eligible young clients.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary team members and follow up on referrals as needed.

Required profile

• Approved tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work or Occupational Therapy with full registration (AHPRA, AMHSW, or endorsed OT).
• Minimum two years post‑qualifying clinical experience and eligibility to bulk bill under the Medicare Better Access Scheme.
• Current Police Check, Working with Children Check, professional indemnity insurance ($10 million) and a valid ABN.

Required skills

• Ability to register and bill services through the Medicare Benefits Schedule.
• Proficiency with web‑based medical record software (IT support provided).
