About the role
The Advanced Pharmacist – Oncology will provide advanced clinical pharmacy services to paediatric oncology patients, leading the pharmacy practice in this specialty and contributing to teaching, service development and improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Independently manage a complex clinical caseload of paediatric oncology medication use, applying advanced expertise and professional judgement.
- Collaborate with prescribers, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective medication management.
- Lead medication management service evaluation, quality improvement initiatives, and research activities to enhance clinical pharmacy services.
Required profile
- Qualified pharmacist with extensive experience in paediatric oncology pharmacy.
- Demonstrated leadership in clinical practice, teaching, and supervision of junior staff and students.
- Commitment to professional development and service improvement.
Required skills
- Advanced clinical pharmacy expertise in paediatric oncology.
