Advanced Pharmacist – Medication Safety & Quality Improvement

About the role

The Advanced Pharmacist – Medication Safety & Quality Improvement provides expert leadership across Logan and Beaudesert Hospitals. You will shape medication safety strategies, drive quality use of medicines programmes and support clinical governance to improve patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver the Quality Use of Medicines (QUM) and Drug Use Evaluation (DUE) programmes across the health service.
• Design, implement and evaluate medication safety audits, research projects and improvement initiatives.
• Develop and deliver education and workforce capability programmes that strengthen medication safety practices.
• Support accreditation requirements and contribute to clinical governance committees.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams in evidence‑based practice, research and innovation.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with extensive experience in medication safety, clinical governance and quality improvement.
• Proven ability to lead audit, research and quality improvement initiatives that deliver measurable health outcomes.
• Strong analytical capability to interpret complex clinical data and identify improvement opportunities.
• Experience developing policies, procedures and systems that support safe medication management.
