Administration Manager – Healthcare Administration

About the role

Based at Concord Repatriation General Hospital, the Administration Manager leads a small team of medical administrators, supporting patients receiving radiation therapy. The role involves coordination across clinical and support disciplines and operates Monday‑Friday, 76 hours per fortnight.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, roster and develop the administration team to meet business needs.
• Audit and improve workflows, ensuring compliance with legislative and best‑practice standards.
• Manage patient billing, Medicare/DVA/private claims and obtain informed financial consent.
• Support site maintenance, training, succession planning and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience supervising teams in a health environment and knowledge of private health fund claiming processes.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with a patient‑first mindset.
• Ability to foster a supportive environment and drive continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with medical administration, billing systems and data entry.
