ACEM Training Position – Private Emergency Department (Townsville)

About the role

Private Emergency Health Australia (PEHA) is seeking ambitious ACEM trainees for full‑time or part‑time positions in an accredited private emergency department in Townsville. The role starts in Semester 2 2026 (August) or Semester 1 2027 (February) and offers a supportive, well‑resourced environment with no night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage emergency patients in a busy, well‑equipped ED.
• Utilise same‑day investigations such as MRI, echocardiography and interventional radiology.
• Collaborate with specialist teams for admissions and referrals.
• Participate in AI scribing and innovation projects to improve care pathways.
• Engage in professional development activities and accredited education programs.

Required profile

• Current ACEM trainee (junior level) seeking a structured training position.
• Willingness to relocate, FIFO or commute to Townsville.
• Commitment to high‑quality patient care and continuous learning.
