Accounts Payable Officer

About the role

Andrews Meat Industries, part of JBS Australia, is a leading food service meat supplier serving the hospitality industry and other markets such as health and aged care, education, aviation and sporting venues. It is recruiting an Accounts Payable Officer for its Lidcombe location. The position is permanent and full-time, working 08:00am to 04:00pm.

Key responsibilities

• Check and match invoices against purchase orders and delivery dockets, and scan meat delivery dockets into a shared folder
• Process invoices into the system (Sage, Esker, Protrace)
• Ensure vendor payments are made on time, prepare automatic and manual payments, and post and allocate them
• Post and identify invoices in the correct general ledger accounts, and reconcile accounts payable and bank statements
• Check vendor account entries weekly and raise credit claims where needed
• Assist with month-end accruals and make sure all missing invoices are accounted for
• Maintain the company's motor vehicle spreadsheet (fuel cards, E-Tag) and respond to vendor inquiries
• Open new vendor accounts and raise purchase orders and sales invoices when required

Required profile

• Experience in accounts payable or bookkeeping
• Accuracy and attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines
• Good communication skills
