Accounts Payable Officer

About the role

Pitcher Partners is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join its internal finance team in Brisbane on a part‑time basis. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will help ensure the smooth operation of the accounts payable function while supporting broader finance activities across the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and manage accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and process regular payment runs and one‑off payments.
• Process client refunds and credit notes.
• Raise and manage trade creditor applications.
• Process employee reimbursements and firm disbursements.
• Reconcile company credit cards and investigate outstanding items.
• Manage and reconcile petty cash balances.
• Reconcile Cabcharge accounts and related expenses.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month‑end finance activities and reconciliations.
• Provide operational support and backup assistance across the Finance team as required.

Required profile

• Approximately 1–3 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable or Finance Administration role.
• Strong eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Experience processing invoices, payments and reconciliations.
• Well‑developed organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with others.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to grow your career within a professional and supportive team.
