Account/Partnerships Director

About the role

Amber is looking for a founding Account/Partnerships Director to own and grow its most strategic partner relationships in Australia. This client‑facing, individual contributor role sits within the tech licensing business, helping energy retailers worldwide scale Amber’s renewable‑energy technology.

Key responsibilities

• Guide partners through the journey to scale, ensuring they leverage Amber’s knowledge and technology to grow user numbers.
• Build and nurture multi‑level relationships across each partner account, managing 25+ external stakeholders per account.
• Develop and execute account strategies that deliver measurable value from onboarding through renewal, driving revenue growth.
• Identify and pursue expansion opportunities, new use cases and affiliated businesses within partner networks.
• Act as the partner’s voice inside Amber, translating feedback into product, engineering and delivery priorities.
• Design and lead quarterly business reviews, aligning senior utility executives and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate account plans, health metrics and CRM records, using data to anticipate risk and opportunity.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a small number of large, complex enterprise partnerships with six‑figure ARR values.
• Commercially sharp with a sales mindset focused on long‑term revenue growth.
• Executive presence and credibility to engage C‑suite and senior leaders without direct authority.
• Track record of building frameworks, processes and cadences from scratch.
• Background in B2B/B2B2C SaaS, energy technology, utilities or related sectors.
