Accountant – Finance Team (Surrey Hills)

About the role

ONCALL Group Australia is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its national finance team at the Victorian head office in Surrey Hills. This full‑time position involves managing financial transactions, preparing statements and providing insight to support decision‑making across multiple business entities.

Key responsibilities

• Complete month‑end procedures, including adjusting journals and analysing result movements for several entities.
• Reconcile daily general and subsidiary bank accounts and handle day‑to‑day banking administration, including payment runs.
• Support the Billings and Accounts Receivable team with claim reconciliation, receipt allocation and resolution of unpaid or rejected items.
• Prepare variance analysis against budget and forecast, delivering clear commentary for finance business partners and operational managers.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual compliance reports such as ABS, BAS and IAS.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting functions within a commercial organisation.
• Bachelor of Commerce, Business or Accounting; CA or CPA designation is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to translate financial results into plain‑language insight.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with NetSuite, preferably Multi‑Entity Financial Management.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting packages.
