About the role

Telstra Business Technology Centre Toowoomba is looking for an Account Manager to support its growing local business. The role builds deep customer relationships and manages and grows a defined portfolio of accounts across the Darling Downs, helping local businesses embrace technology, solve real challenges and improve productivity. It is a relationship-focused, fast-paced role based in Toowoomba.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of deep customer relationships and manage and grow your own portfolio of accounts.
• Help local businesses maximise the value of their technology investments and act as a trusted adviser on ICT solutions.
• Understand what matters to each customer and connect them with solutions that meet their business goals.
• Focus on long-term customer success, retention and loyalty rather than just transactions.

Required profile

• Genuinely enjoys helping people, builds trust naturally and takes pride in positive customer experiences.
• Curious, motivated and enjoys learning new things.
• Background can come from account management, customer success, business development, customer service, banking or financial services, retail leadership, hospitality, education, small business or telecommunications or technology.
• Experience can be taught; a positive attitude and a desire to contribute to a great team matter most.
