Account Manager – Specialty Pharma (Sydney/NSW North)

About the role

This newly created Account Manager position covers primary and secondary care across Sydney and northern NSW. You will be responsible for driving adoption and sustained use of a market‑leading long‑acting injectable therapy within GP practices, specialist clinics, community health services, pharmacies and correctional health teams.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, activate and support new prescribers across the territory.
• Build and maintain trust‑based relationships with clinicians, pharmacists and health‑service teams.
• Conduct high‑quality clinical and commercial conversations to promote the therapy ethically.
• Develop and execute detailed quarterly territory plans.
• Expand treatment pathways, improve access and uncover untapped patient cohorts.
• Support clinicians in patient selection and management, addressing barriers to care.
• Collaborate with national colleagues and cross‑functional teams.
• Represent the brand at conferences and educational events.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, specialty or complex therapy sales.
• Proven success influencing healthcare professional prescribing behaviour.
• Experience in CNS, mental health, chronic disease, pain or similar therapeutic areas.
• Strong strategic account management and planning capabilities.
• High emotional intelligence and comfort working in sensitive therapy environments.
