Account Manager

About the role

Datacom is seeking an Account Manager to maximise revenue from major customer accounts in the Australian market. You will plan and oversee enterprise‑level support and service activities, ensuring customer satisfaction and strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate, implement and manage strategic business plans for key client accounts to achieve sales targets.
• Manage revenue, growth, productivity and profit across your portfolio.
• Lead program processes and coordinate cross‑business resources to meet goals, schedules and quality commitments.
• Conduct product demonstrations and prepare sales proposals, tenders and contracts.
• Act as the single point of contact for clients during implementation and advise on technology strategy.

Required profile

• 4+ years of account management or similar experience.
• Proven sales ability with strong negotiation and persuasive skills.
• Experience managing customer contracts and requests.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Required skills

• Expert IT product and industry knowledge.
• Specialist knowledge of relevant IT industry and vendor products.
• Project management skills.
