About the role

Community College Gippsland (CCG) is recruiting two full-time Years 9/10 teachers for its ECG College campus in Dandenong. The college provides hands-on, personalised learning for students who need more time, space or support to succeed, with a focus on senior pathways. The advertised start date is 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging Year 9/10 learning and assessment materials in line with VCAA requirements.
• Individualise each student's program so they can access the curriculum, using learning plans and student support plans.
• Foster a safe, inclusive and trauma-informed environment, and provide educational and wellbeing support.
• Take part in camps, excursions, award nights and other school activities.
• Maintain high-quality records, report on student achievement regularly and prepare student/parent interviews at least twice a year.
• Take part in school meetings, professional learning, moderation and internal/external moderation.
• Follow child-safe policies and health and safety procedures, and keep student information confidential.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification.
• VIT teacher registration or permission to teach.
• Current Victorian driver's licence.
• Knowledge of the 9/10 curriculum and ability to differentiate and individualise learning plans.
• Experience of trauma-informed practice and understanding of the needs of marginalised and vulnerable children.
