Workplace Software Architect – Records Management

About the role

The Workplace Software Architect (Records Management) leads the design and implementation of an Information Asset Management solution, ensuring records management, governance, retention and compliance across the client environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design of the Information Asset Management solution, defining records management, retention, disposal and lifecycle capabilities.
• Design and govern Microsoft Purview and AvePoint Opus solutions, including metadata, taxonomy, classification and information architecture requirements.
• Support implementation of governance, compliance and records management controls and ensure alignment with security and operational requirements.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops, architecture reviews and design governance activities.
• Produce solution architecture, design documentation, governance artefacts and implementation guidance.
• Provide technical leadership across records management, information governance and compliance workstreams and support transition to operations.

Required profile

• Experience designing and implementing Microsoft Purview and AvePoint Opus solutions.
• Background in enterprise records management and information governance programmes, preferably in Australian Government environments.
• Knowledge of ISO 15489, ISO 16175, AGRkMS and related records management frameworks.
• Experience with Business Classification Schemes, disposal authority implementation and compliance transformations.
