Workday Financials Functional Lead

About the role

Accenture is seeking an experienced Workday Financials professional to lead clients through complex digital transformation initiatives. The role involves translating strategic intent into practical, future‑ready solutions and guiding teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead functional and commercial workstreams across Workday Financials engagements, ensuring strong client relationships and high‑quality outcomes.
• Facilitate client workshops to gather requirements, advise on best practices, and support key business process decisions.
• Own functional design, configuration, prototyping and solution validation for Workday Financials.
• Manage delivery plans, risks, issues, dependencies, governance reporting and deployment activities.
• Coach and coordinate functional consultants and module leads, applying Workday implementation methodology.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Workday Financials or comparable cloud ERP implementation, including solution design and configuration.
• Advanced proficiency in financial accounting, end‑to‑end financial processes, controls, reporting and performance management.
• Demonstrated experience in commercial finance, financial strategy, investment management and delivering measurable business value.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence engaging senior client stakeholders.
