Veterinary Nurse – Full Time

About the role

Greencross Vets Aitkenvale is seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join a stable, supportive team in Townsville. This full‑time position offers a diverse caseload in a modern, recently renovated clinic.

Key responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during consultations, surgeries and procedures.
• Prepare surgical theatre, monitor anaesthesia and manage patient recovery.
• Perform dental work, radiography and process pathology samples.
• Administer medications, provide hospital patient care and educate clients.
• Maintain cleanliness, infection control and support reception duties as needed.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Strong communication and client care abilities.
• Positive attitude, reliable work ethic and team‑first approach.

Required skills

• Anaesthetic monitoring.
• Surgical preparation and theatre assistance.
• Dental procedures and radiography.
• Pathology sample collection and processing.
