Veterinary Nurse (Casual) – Flexible Role

About the role

Greencross Noarlunga is seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse on a casual basis to provide flexible, high‑quality support to veterinarians and the nursing team in a busy clinic located inside a Petbarn store.

Key responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during consultations, treatments, surgeries and emergency procedures.
• Prepare surgical theatre, monitor anaesthesia, and manage patient recovery.
• Provide medical nursing, inpatient care, dental procedures and pathology testing.
• Maintain hygiene, infection control standards and support reception duties as needed.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing with at least 2 years of clinical experience.
• Confident in both medical and surgical nursing, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong animal handling, anaesthetic monitoring and patient care capabilities.
• Professional communication with clients and colleagues, calm under pressure.

Required skills

• Use of digital X‑ray and ultrasound equipment.
• Experience with iM3 Elite dental suite and dental radiography.
• In‑house laboratory and surgical theatre procedures.
• Familiarity with RxWorks (advantageous).
