Ventilation Engineer – Sunrise Dam Mine

About the role

AngloGold Ashanti is seeking a Ventilation Engineer to join the Underground Mining team at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine in Western Australia. Reporting to the Senior Specialist – Ventilation Engineer, you will support underground operations through ventilation design, monitoring, and system management. The role operates on an 8/6 FIFO roster with direct flights from Perth or Kalgoorlie.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the underground ventilation system to ensure a safe working atmosphere for all employees.
• Audit ventilation infrastructure to ensure compliance with approved ventilation plans.
• Prepare and distribute ventilation plans.
• Provide ventilation-specific input into mine plans and schedules.
• Complete statutory ventilation surveys of primary and secondary networks.
• Manage the secondary fan register and arrange maintenance or change‑outs as required.
• Assist with underground infrastructure and project work as instructed.
