VCE Psychology Teacher

About the role

Haileybury is looking for a qualified and experienced VCE Psychology Teacher to join the Senior School team at its Brighton campus. This full‑time, ongoing position starts in Term 1, 2027 and offers the chance to inspire students in a dynamic, innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the VCE Psychology curriculum using best‑practice pedagogy, including the Haileybury Explicit Instruction model.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of contemporary teaching practices and relevant pedagogical frameworks.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff and the wider school community.
• Use a range of assessment methods to support student success and measure achievement.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching resources, assessments and learning opportunities.
• Integrate digital learning and the LMS into classroom practice.
• Participate in professional development, co‑curricular activities and supervisory duties.
• Administer assessments, provide feedback, write reports and attend meetings as required.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualifications and VIT registration (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to respond to differing learning needs and strengths.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Effective time‑management and ability to work efficiently.
