Underwriter, Executive Assurance

About the role

The Underwriter, Executive Assurance will manage new and existing business portfolios, ensuring underwriting activities meet company policies, profitability targets, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite Executive Assurance products according to Arch guidelines, maintaining profitability and book value.
• Prepare portfolio performance reports, manage credit control, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Develop and maintain broker relationships through regular visits and networking.
• Participate in audits, peer reviews, and compliance processes.
• Support new business development, product development, and cross‑sell opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in underwriting or a similar financial services role.
• Strong analytical ability with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Australian insurance regulatory and compliance environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated understanding of underwriting practices and insurance market dynamics.
