About the role
The Tasmanian Health Service is recruiting an Unaccredited Vascular Surgery Registrar for the Royal Hobart Hospital. This fixed‑term position runs from 1 February 2027 to 7 February 2028 and offers a salary range of $138,978‑$194,675 per year.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day care of private and public in‑patients and out‑patients within the Vascular Surgery service.
- Provide after‑hours emergency coverage as required.
- Participate in protected training time (10 hours per fortnight) and contribute to the teaching environment.
Required profile
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration where applicable.
- Successful completion of pre‑employment checks (conviction, identification, disciplinary).
- Medical Practitioner Level 5‑11 (Registrar/Senior Registrar) under the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award.
