About the role
Aurecon is seeking an experienced Transport Planner/Traffic Engineer (5–10 years) to join its Integrated Transport & Mobility practice. The role can be based in Sydney, Newcastle or Canberra and involves delivering transport impact assessments and strategic planning for major developments.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and deliver Transport Impact Assessments for complex development and infrastructure projects.
- Contribute to strategic transport planning, active transport, and multimodal access studies.
- Support or manage projects end‑to‑end, including scope, programme, budget and risk.
- Engage directly with clients, approval authorities and stakeholders.
Required profile
- Relevant tertiary qualification with 5–10 years’ experience in transport planning or traffic engineering.
- Strong experience preparing and reviewing Transport Impact Assessments.
- Sound technical judgement working with data, modelling outputs and policy frameworks.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
