Transport Driver – Part‑time

About the role

HammondCare’s Independent Living Units in Miranda, NSW are looking for a compassionate Transport Driver to provide transport services for residents on a permanent part‑time basis (Tuesday‑Thursday, 8 am‑4 pm).

Key responsibilities

• Drive residents to appointments, shopping, outings and other destinations safely and on schedule.
• Assist residents with transfers when required, following safe work practices.
• Maintain accurate records of each transport journey and document trips.
• Ensure the vehicle is kept in good condition and report any maintenance needs.

Required profile

• Commitment to HammondCare’s Christian Mission and values.
• Current NSW Class C driver’s licence with a clean driving record (LR licence desirable).
• Availability on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8 am‑4 pm.
• High level of empathy, compassion and patience when working with aged or vulnerable people.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Safe driving skills and knowledge of NSW road rules.
• Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable).
