Trade Qualified Boilermaker

About the role

Prime Recruitment is seeking an experienced, trade-qualified Boilermaker for a well-established workshop in Henderson. The role covers fabrication and welding of carbon steel structural components and pipe supports, in a busy workshop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld carbon steel structural components
• Work on pipe supports and associated steelwork
• Read and accurately interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
• Measure, mark out and prepare materials
• Ensure work meets specified measurements and tight tolerances
• Maintain a high standard of quality, accuracy and workmanship
• Work safely and efficiently in a busy workshop

Required profile

• Australian recognised trade qualification in Boilermaking
• Previous workshop fabrication experience
• Competent in MIG/FCAW welding and general fabrication
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong measuring and marking-out skills
• Excellent attention to detail, especially to tight tolerances
• Reliable, punctual, able to work independently and in a team

Hours: Monday to Friday 6:00am - 4:30pm (10-hour shifts) and Saturday 6:00am - 12:00pm (6-hour shift).
