Tourism Information Officer (Permanent)

About the role

Warren Shire Council is inviting applications for a permanent Tourism Information Officer at the Warren and Macquarie Marshes Visitor Information Centre. The successful applicant provides tourism information services to visitors and locals and supports administrative work for a range of tourist products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide services to meet the tourism information needs of visitors and locals through the Visitor Information Centre
• Assist with administrative support for a broad range of tourist products and services for residents and visitors
• Staff the centre Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm with a one-hour lunch break
• Occasionally provide relief support on weekends and public holidays during opening hours, as negotiated

Required profile

• Experience in general office duties
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Competence in the use of computers and digital media
• Class C motor vehicle licence
• Pre-employment medical assessment before confirmation of employment
• Permanent resident or suitable working rights in Australia; sponsorship is not available

What we offer

• Salary under the Local Government (State) Award, Operational Band 2, Level 1, currently $1237.70 - $1435.73 depending on knowledge and experience
• 12% superannuation
