Tour Guide for Wilderness Park in Kimberley

About the role

El Questro Wilderness Park is seeking enthusiastic Tour Guides to lead guests through the spectacular Kimberley region. The role is based on‑site at the remote park for the duration of the season, offering a unique opportunity to share the natural and cultural heritage of this iconic Australian frontier.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of guided experiences including 4WD tours, bird‑watching walks, gorge hikes, boat cruises and barramundi fishing trips.
• Manage guest transfers between Kununurra and the park, ensuring safety and high service standards.
• Provide informative commentary on wildlife, geology, and Indigenous culture.
• Maintain tour equipment, vehicles and safety gear in good condition.
• Collaborate with park staff and traditional custodians to deliver authentic experiences.

Required profile

• Strong guest service orientation and ability to work under pressure.
• Interest in wildlife, nature and outdoor activities.
• Previous experience in tour guiding or tourism preferred.
• Self‑motivated, able to work autonomously and as part of a close‑knit team.

Required skills

• Senior First Aid certification.
• Valid manual driver’s licence with West Australian F endorsement (to be obtained before season).
• West Australian MR licence (to be obtained before season).
• Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (Western Australia).
• Competency in 4WD operation or completion of a recognised 4WD course.
• Coxswain ticket (highly regarded).
