Telecommunications Civil Drafter

About the role

Egis Group is seeking a Telecommunications Civil Drafter to produce detailed civil and telecommunications drawings for network projects in Brisbane. You will work closely with designers, project managers and external stakeholders to deliver accurate construction documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed civil and telecommunications drawings using AutoCAD, 12d or MicroStation.
• Create design packages, IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings and related documentation.
• Draft civil layouts, trenching plans, conduit alignments, pit locations and construction details.
• Update drawing registers, incorporate survey and utility data, and ensure compliance with Australian and client standards.
• Assist designers and project managers with documentation, design revisions and site assessments.
• Coordinate drawing updates throughout project lifecycles and liaise with contractors and authorities.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in drafting, civil design or a related discipline.
• Experience on road, civil or utility infrastructure projects, preferably with utilities, network operators, councils or government agencies.
• Knowledge of civil construction methodologies is an advantage.
• Self‑managed, able to work independently and hold a current driver’s licence.
