Telecommunications Civil Designer

About the role

Egis Group is seeking a Telecommunications Civil Designer to join its national telecom design team in Brisbane. The role supports the growing telecommunications sector by delivering civil design solutions for Telstra, NBN and other carrier networks.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections and network scoping to capture accurate network data.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on major road, urban development and utility projects.
• Design utility civil asset and cable network solutions and produce detailed plan mark‑ups.
• Review designs for technical compliance and prepare quantity and construction cost estimates.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience in telecom external field works, including construction or project management.
• Operational knowledge of Telstra/NBN systems, copper and fibre networks.
• Current driver’s licence and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (advantageous)
• Knowledge of communications manholes, pits, pipes and cables.
