Technical Trainer - Automotive

About the role

NRMA is hiring an experienced Learning & Development Trainer for its Roadside Delivery training team, based at Sydney Olympic Park. The trainer designs, develops and delivers training for front-line employees (such as patrols, tow truck drivers and driver trainers) and managers, with a focus on Roadside Delivery. The role involves travel to all NRMA sites and contractor locations nationally, including regional and remote areas, with hybrid work available when not travelling.

Key responsibilities

• Create learning experiences that give team members the skills needed for customer service and member support
• Work with the Roadside training team and business stakeholders, conducting needs analyses and identifying skill gaps
• Design and deliver training programs across formats, aligned with business objectives and organisational values
• Use a blended learning approach combining e-learning, virtual sessions, self-directed learning and in-person workshops
• Design learning materials and programs using multiple platforms and tools
• Deliver training consistently and with quality, in person and virtually
• Set learner priorities and implement learning initiatives with stakeholders

Required profile

• Qualified Mechanic or Automotive Electrician
• Current Class C driver's licence (essential)
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role, with a background in the automotive industry
• Knowledge of current and future trends in automotive technology and design
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or similar is highly desirable

Required skills

• Instructional design across platforms, video and tools including Articulate, Canva, Ed-App and Vyond
• Excellent facilitation skills online and face to face
• Ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
