Technical Trainer – Automotive

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Trainer with mechanical or auto‑electrical qualifications to design, develop and deliver training for frontline staff and managers across the NRMA Roadside Delivery network.

Key responsibilities

• Create learning experiences that equip team members with customer service and member support skills.
• Conduct needs analyses, design blended learning programmes and deliver them via e‑learning, virtual sessions, self‑directed study and in‑person workshops.
• Travel nationally to NRMA sites and contractor locations, including regional and remote areas, while also working in a hybrid model when not on the road.

Required profile

• Qualified mechanic or automotive electrician with a current Class C driver’s licence.
• Demonstrated experience in a similar automotive training role and up‑to‑date knowledge of automotive technology trends.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Strong instructional design ability using platforms such as Articulate, Canva, Ed‑App and Vyond.
• Excellent facilitation skills for both online and face‑to‑face delivery.
