Technical Sales Person - Financial Industry

About the role

Cloud Raptor, a cloud service advisory partner and Salesforce, MuleSoft, Freshworks and ServiceNow partner, is looking for a Technical Sales Person with a strong background in the financial industry. The role is based in Australia (South Australia or Western Australia) and is full-time. High performers have a clear pathway to a Director-level position.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with clients in the financial sector, understanding their business needs and technical requirements.
• Present and demonstrate financial technology solutions to potential customers, highlighting their benefits and competitive advantages.
• Collaborate with engineering, product development and marketing teams to refine sales strategies and technical offerings.
• Develop customised proposals aligned with regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Negotiate contracts and close deals with financial institutions, banking firms and fintech startups.
• Stay informed on emerging financial technologies, industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Act as a trusted advisor, giving ongoing support and guidance to clients.

Required profile

• 7-12+ years in technical sales, account management or business development in the financial industry (banking, fintech, investment or similar).
• Degree in Finance, Business, IT or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience at Macquarie Group is ideal.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of financial products, payment systems, risk management, AI in finance or financial software solutions.
• Proven track record of hitting sales targets and negotiating complex deals.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
