Technical Officer – Transportation Infrastructure

About the role

AECOM’s Highways team in Brisbane is expanding and seeks a Technical Officer to support major transport infrastructure projects across Queensland. You will work on bridge and structural design, producing high‑quality digital documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare drawing documentation using Revit and AutoCAD to client and industry standards.
• Develop BIM capabilities alongside skilled technicians and contribute to drafting and modelling innovation.
• Support the production of digital documentation for major infrastructure projects, focusing on bridge and structural design.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years’ experience in a technician role within a structures team on transport infrastructure.
• Associate degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or nearing completion.
• Experience delivering projects for TMR, TfNSW, VicRoads or major councils is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit (essential).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential).
• Exposure to Civil 3D, OpenRoads or MicroStation (advantageous).
