Technical Field Service Support – Maintenance Troubleshooter

About the role

KONE is seeking a Maintenance Troubleshooter to join its high‑performing Service team in Newcastle. You will provide specialist technical support across Newcastle, the Central Coast and Northern NSW, ensuring lift and escalator systems run safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex lift and escalator equipment issues, both remotely and on‑site.
• Perform first‑visit assessments of new equipment for supervisors or sales teams.
• Support critical call‑outs, travelling to locations such as Coffs Harbour and Armidale as needed.
• Identify root causes of faults and coach Maintenance Technicians to improve their technical capability.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through professional, responsive service.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the lift industry with a track record of handling critical breakdowns.
• Current NSW Electrical Licence.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and quality standards.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
