Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Trucks) – Sydney Airport

About the role

Join TCR Group's Sydney Workshop as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, maintaining and repairing ground support trucks that keep the airport operating smoothly. You will work in a field‑service capacity, collaborating with a skilled team to ensure safety and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct repairs, preventive maintenance, and diagnostics on diesel‑powered trucks to a high trade standard.
• Perform servicing, inspections and accurately record service data.
• Report daily to the Shift Supervisor and follow direction from the State Operations Manager.
• Promote a strong safety‑first approach in all tasks.
• Collaborate with fabricators, technicians and assistants to develop effective solutions.

Required profile

• Relevant mechanic trade qualification and own tools.
• Current and valid driver’s licence.
• Strong focus on safety standards and ability to work autonomously as well as in a team.
• Good communication skills, proactive mindset and positive attitude.

Required skills

• Experience with diesel engines.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems.
• Electrical fault‑finding ability.
• Mechanical repair and preventive maintenance expertise.
