Team Lead (Software Engineering)

About the role

Domain is seeking a hands‑on Software Engineering Team Lead to drive a frontend‑focused roadmap that serves millions of Australians. You will collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering leaders to modernise platforms, mentor engineers and deliver high‑quality customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a squad of engineers, fostering ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Deliver a frontend‑heavy product roadmap, ensuring scalability, performance, accessibility and maintainability.
• Partner with Product and Design to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Guide architecture decisions for modern web applications and champion best practices across development, testing, DevOps, security and observability.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams in Agile environments.
• Strong background building large‑scale, customer‑facing web applications.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to work across Product, Design and Engineering.

Required skills

• React, TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Next.js, Node.js, AWS and cloud‑native development.
• CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and experience with microservices or distributed systems.
