Tax Accountant

About the role

Join a fast‑growing Perth office of an award‑winning accounting firm. You will work directly with SMEs, tradies and property investors, preparing tax returns and providing face‑to‑face and phone support.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare individual, sole trader, partnership, company and trust tax returns.
• Prepare financial statements and BAS/IAS.
• Handle ATO correspondence, client queries and lodgements through the tax agent portal.
• Work directly with SMEs, tradies and property investors.
• Assist clients both face‑to‑face and over the phone.

Required profile

• At least 2 years' experience in an Australian public accounting practice (essential).
• Hands‑on experience with Xero, MYOB or QuickBooks and practice tax software.
• A degree in accounting, with CA, CPA or IPA completed or in progress.
• Good attention to detail and clear communication with clients.
