Cost Controller – Renewable Energy Projects

About the role

Pacific Energy is seeking a proactive Cost Controller to join its project delivery team in Kewdale. You will work across a diverse portfolio of renewable energy, battery storage and thermal power projects, providing accurate cost control, forecasting and performance insights.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain project cost control frameworks, budgets, cost breakdown structures and reporting processes.
• Reconcile cost data across financial, ERP and project control systems for accuracy.
• Coordinate monthly cost reporting and Forecast Cost to Complete activities, including accruals, commitments and variance analysis.
• Support Project Managers with cost analysis, forecasting and cash‑flow reporting.
• Monitor budgets, commitments and cost performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Prepare cost reports, commentary and performance insights for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Project Delivery, Commercial, Procurement, Finance and Site teams.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives in project controls and cost management.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented, analytical professional who enjoys working closely with project teams.
• Strong ownership, stakeholder relationship skills and ability to thrive in an accuracy‑focused environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of SAP (highly regarded).
