System Administrator

About the role

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a skilled System Administrator to support the sustainment of a multi‑tenanted, high‑assurance network for Australian aviation technology. Based in Brisbane, you will work within a collaborative team to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of critical IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server environments, storage solutions (Fibre Channel, Pure Storage, VMware) and hypervisors.
• Manage identity and access services, including Active Directory, Federation Services and RSA multi‑factor authentication.
• Design, deploy and support Citrix XenApp, Virtual Delivery Agent (VDA) and Gateway for application and desktop delivery.
• Maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems and Cisco UCS servers with fabric interconnects.
• Provide problem resolution, system performance monitoring, capacity planning, backup and disaster‑recovery activities.
• Collaborate with Technical Lead, ITSO Cyber GRC Specialist and other administrators on solution design reviews.

Required profile

• Strong background in implementing and administering complex, security‑focused systems.
• Active Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2) defence security clearance.
• Ability to work flexible hours and perform ad‑hoc tasks outside core business times.
• Australian driver’s licence.
