Director of Data and AI

About the role

Scyne Advisory is seeking a senior leader to grow its Data & AI practice in Queensland. The Director will build trusted relationships with government clients, shape and deliver data‑driven transformation programmes, and develop a high‑performing multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Champion Scyne’s Data & AI presence across Queensland, cultivating senior executive relationships and securing new engagements.
• Lead the design and delivery of data, analytics and AI solutions that enable broader public‑sector transformation.
• Mentor and grow a team of analysts, data scientists, AI engineers and data architects.
• Develop proposals, manage the business pipeline and recruit talent as the practice expands.

Required profile

• Strong network within Queensland government and proven consulting experience.
• Deep expertise in data analytics, data science and AI, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
• Demonstrated leadership in delivering transformation programmes and building multidisciplinary teams.
• Balanced commercial acumen to drive business development and successful project delivery.
