Structural Engineer – Infrastructure

About the role

Join a leading global consulting engineering firm to play a critical role in delivering complex transport, energy and industrial infrastructure projects across Australia. This hybrid position places you at the interface between design and construction, enabling you to shape innovative temporary and permanent structural solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed structural designs for innovative temporary works and assess their impact on permanent structures.
• Produce design documentation for permanent infrastructure works from tender through construction phases.
• Collaborate closely with contractors, design teams and project directors to manage resources and ensure timely delivery.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to communicate design intent and project progress.
• Support construction engineering activities where appropriate, including on‑site coordination.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualification with a focus on structural engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably on transport, energy, industrial or civil infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work on both temporary and permanent works design.
• Strong understanding of Australian codes and standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
